Eurovision 2027 runs at Arena Burgas — semi-finals on Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 May, the Grand Final on Saturday 15 May — and the arena is not in the city centre. It stands on Stefan Stambolov Boulevard, on the edge of the Izgrev and Slaveykov districts, north-west of the centre. That single fact decides where you should sleep.
Times are routed over real streets to the arena (OpenStreetMap, October 2026), not straight lines. Taxi times assume ordinary traffic; on a show night, add the queue.

A single city-bus ticket bought on board costs €0.80; with the e-wallet it is €0.66 and includes 45 minutes of transfers.
Izgrev and Slaveykov — walk to the doors
Socialist-era panel blocks, wide green spaces, markets and ordinary shops — nothing touristic. From Izgrev you walk to the arena in about 11 minutes; from Slaveykov in about 16. You can go back for a coat between a preview show and the evening broadcast, and walk home after the final without needing a vehicle to appear.
Slaveykov has the bus terminal where lines 11, 12, Б2 and Б12 turn round, and it is where the night line Н starts: departures at 00:00, 01:00, 02:00, 03:00 and 04:00 to Meden Rudnik, €1.00 from the driver. Lazur — the compromise
Between the centre and the arena, backing onto the Sea Garden and the beach. Line 15 and Б11/Б12 run along Demokratsia Boulevard and then up Stefan Stambolov to the arena; the 46-minute walk is pleasant on the way there and long on the way back. The city centre — for the whole week, not just the shows
The long pedestrian main street, the Sea Garden, the pier, the station and South Bus Station (Avtogara Yug) all sit here, so arriving, leaving and day-tripping are easiest from the centre. Lines 15, 12, Б1 and Б2 run from Avtogara Yug to Stefan Stambolov. The cost is a 56-minute walk home after midnight or a taxi hunt. City centre guide · listings.
Sarafovo — next to the airport, one bus to the arena
A seaside suburb with its own beach and fish restaurants. Line 15 starts here, calls at the airport and runs along Transportna Street onto Stefan Stambolov — so it is one bus to the arena, no change. Meden Rudnik — cheapest, and the only night bus
The city's largest residential district, across the bay. Б1, Б2, Б11 and Б12 run directly from here to Stefan Stambolov, and the night line Н runs from Slaveykov terminal back to Meden Rudnik every hour from midnight. Kraymorie — the quiet one
A green seaside quarter south of the port, 18–25 minutes by taxi. We could not confirm a direct bus to the arena; expect to change in the centre. Good for a beach week, weak for show nights. Kraymorie guide · listings.
Overflow: Pomorie, Nesebar, Sunny Beach, Sozopol
This is where most of the region's beds are, and where availability will remain when Burgas is full. The catch is identical everywhere: intercity buses leave from Avtogara Yug and stop in the evening. The last coastal bus north (via Pomorie to Nesebar and Sunny Beach) leaves at 22:05; the last dedicated Pomorie service at 20:30. If the usual broadcast slot is kept, shows start at 22:00 local time; semi-finals end around 00:00 and the final around 02:00. Every coastal bus has gone by then. Can I stay in Nesebar or Sunny Beach and go to the shows?
Yes, by bus there and taxi back. A taxi from the arena to Nesebar is about 35–45 minutes and roughly €35–40.
